There's so MUCH right now... It can be really overwhelming. But there's a part of me that says no matter how bad it gets, I have to remain engaged and aware.

Here’s a little math thought-exercise for everyone. (I know… numbers are off-putting, but bear with me.) From a Google search, today: "Elon Musk is the wealthiest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of US$347.7 billion as of March 06, 2025, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, and $347.7billion according to Forbes."
He could spend $9,526,027 EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR THE NEXT 100 YEARS before he spent down all that money – and that doesn't take into account the reality that whatever he doesn't spend each day continues to produce income for him.
I'm just not sure I see why Musk (and all the other billionaires) need or deserve a tax cut.
So this guy is cutting programs that benefit normal Americans (like national parks, research into childhood cancer treatments, Veterans' benefits, the Consumer Fraud Protection Bureau, farm subsidies, SNAP [food assistance], and on and on), so that the Republicans can justify an enormous tax cut that disproportionately benefits the ultra-wealthy and profitable corporations.
This is not going to work out nicely for anyone but the oligarchs.
